To all,
If you get a chance, check out the “Dates” section of the website. High Maintenance’s schedule is filling up rapidly, and we’re bound to be in a town near you! Feel free to email the band for information on any of these shows, and keep some tabs on our “Covers” page as well. It might fill up quicker than the “Dates” page is! We can’t wait to see you for the next show!

Another really fun show for all of us. The crowd energy was just amazing, and I think it took us to a level we’ve never been at. I actually saw something in our drummer’s eyes that was different from almost every show I’ve ever played with the dude, and we’ve been doing this thing in one way or another since 1995. He looked intense and focused, which was completely different from his normal facade, which is usually relaxed and emotionless. I’m not even sure he was aware of it, but it was cool. Mike the bassist was his normal up keyed self, and did a few new moves, and our guitarist Jimmy the Virtuoso was even getting into the act. It was a really fun time, and the crowd was right there pushing us to be better then we’ve ever been. We had a really large crowd, and that’s saying something considering Mr Bickle was in the room right next to us. They are a fan favorite in Somerset, and a really talented group of guys that always put on a wonderful show. The other group in the courtyard, Octane, I can’t really comment on, because I didn’t get to watch and don’t know much about them. What I can say is, I’m sure they put on a good show as well, so with that being said, bringing a nice solid group of people in our room was something special. It was really fun, and we tried to give 150% in every aspect. I hope people came away with a good vibe from us. It almost seemed like a turning point to something big with this group. Time will tell, but thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting us. Can’t wait until next time!

I tried doing this a while back, but multiple health issues kept the band from playing a lot after I started it, so it seemed kind of pointless to continue. But, with High Maintenance back in the saddle again, I felt it only appropriate to start this up again, so please visit this area when you can. I plan on giving a kind of “behind the scenes” view of what we do, see and think about before and after a show. Also, feel free to comment when you’d like. Good or bad, I’ll respond…
Talk to you soon,

This was the band’s first show back since October 31st of last year. I think the guys in the band were looking at this evening as a fun time, but were a little more nervous than usual, given the fact that we didn’t have much time to prepare. Truth be told, I think the band was actually expecting to start playing again after the New Year, but, considering this venue has been a target of the band for a long time, we weren’t going to pass up the opportunity.
I can’t tell you how much fun we all had at the show, and were really happy that a good many people showed up in support. I think all the nerves really started going away after the beginning of the second set, as people were starting to respond to us in a very positive way. We always play so much better in front of a charged up crowd, because it’s almost like that energy infuses us to do things that we didn’t even think we could pull off. Saturday night was no different. It was just great, and we look forward to returning to the Rhythm House in the very near future. It’s really one of the few places left that really has it all. Dance Club in the back, and two stages. In this era of DJ’s, it’s nice to see that some places aren’t ready to give up on the real deal, because after all, if there’s no bands, invariably, there will be no music. So, we look forward to seeing all who were at the show at future engagements. Our show is only going to improve, and we hope you enjoy it. I will continue this little blog on the band’s website for all upcoming shows. I plan to write a little piece before and after each show, and I encourage people to feel free to comment as often as the like. If you have a question, please feel free to post it on the site, and I’ll do my best to answer it as soon as possible. Again, thank you for being with us, our friends - old and new, and our family. Without you all, we wouldn’t have a reason to even do this…
